(West Des Moines, IA) -- A Celebration of Life is planned for later this month for Claire Celsi.
The State Senator died last week at the age of 59 after spending time in hospice care for an undisclosed illness. Celsi was first elected to the Iowa Senate in 2018 and won reelection in 2022. She represented Iowa Senate District 16.
The memorial will take place at Valley High School on October 25th, from 1 to 4 p.m.
A special election will be held to fill Celsi’s seat.
