'Cornhusker Clink' Lawsuit Filed

Black Police Precinct And Courthouse Museum Recalls Miami's Segregated Past

(Lincoln, NE) -- A lawsuit is filed to try and stop development of the "Cornhusker Clink" in southwest Nebraska.

The "Nebraska Appleseed" group filed the suit in Red Willow County District Court on behalf of thirteen residents of McCook to prevent the changeover of the state's Work Ethic Camp into a facility to house criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE.

The group argues the legislature, and not the Governor, has sole, constitutional authority to control or manage penal institutions, and only the Legislature may repurpose the use of public buildings
