(York, Nebraska) -- A man from the state of Oregon's been arrested in Nebraska after deputies say they caught him driving under the influence of drugs, with an abused child lying on the back seat floor of his car.
39-year-old Jason Smith was pulled over by York County deputies for a traffic violation on I-80 west of Lincoln at 1:30 Saturday morning.
Smith is charged with child abuse, DUI, and DUI with a passenger under age 16.
The boy was taken to the hospital and placed in Nebraska human services protection.
