(Des Moines, IA) -- A man who led Des Moines Police on a pursuit early Wednesday morning crashed the car he was driving, seriously injuring himself and his three passengers.
City police say 21-year old Naite Tanta was speeding and ran a stop sign before failing to stop for police.
He continued driving for three blocks before crashing into a tree in the 18-hundred block of 12th Street.
All four occupant were taken to local hospitals for treatment and are expected to survive.
Tanta faces charges that include OWI, Possession of Marijuana and Serious Injury By Vehicle.
