Several Des Moines-Area Mayors Re-Elected For Another Term

(Des Moines, IA) -- Several mayors across the Des Moines metro were re-elected to another term on Election Day.

West Des Moines mayor Russ Trimble won a second term defeating challenger MJ Hoag by around 35-hundred votes.

Clive Mayor John Edwards defeats Clive City Councilman Mike McCoy to win re-election.

Three incumbents lost their bids for re-election. Adel Mayor Jim Peters was defeated by Tim Crannell, ending his bid for an 18th term as the city's mayor.

Granger Mayor Tony James lost his re-election campaign to Clint Davis. Jessica Trobaugh was defeated by Anthony Jensen in her bid for re-election for Mayor of Mitchellville.
