(Des Moines, IA ) -- A man wanted for murder in Guatemala has been arrested in Des Moines. The US Border Patrol announced the arrest on social media, but did not reveal his name or age. A picture showed him in the back of a law enforcement vehicle.
They say he entered the U.S. in 2019 and was ordered removed by an immigration judge.
But instead of going back to Guatemala, he remained in the US for 6 years. Now in ICE custody, he's awaiting deportation.
