(Johnson County, IA) -- Johnson County needs about 950 new housing units over the next 10 years to keep up with growth and stabilize the market.

That's what the County Board of Supervisors heard Wednesday from the group CommunityScale after they conducted a housing assessment study for the County.

The group recommends county leaders add more direct investments in non-metro area housing, promoting housing goals, and partner with smaller cities, nonprofits and local, regional, and state agencies for funding.
