(Des Moines, IA) -- Water levels in the Des Moines River will be noticeably lower.
City crews are removing flashboards from the Center Street Dam.
To make that possible, outflow from the Saylorville Reservoir Dam will be adjusted so workers can safely access the flashboards.
The lower water levels are expected to last 24 to 36 hours.
