(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Public Power District Crews Tuesday morning dealt with two different outage areas close to each other at about the same time.
One included a section of downtown Omaha involving part of the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, where the Douglas County Board meeting and a pre-city council meeting session were going on.
The power district says an excavator hit an undergound power line.
That outage was from Burt to Harney, 15th to 25th Streets impacting about 600 customers.
About the same time, OPPD says an animal got into some equipment causing an outage to about a thousand customers between Pacific and Dodge, 21st to 31st Streets.
