(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The city of Cedar Rapids is delaying two major flood control projects to focus on another construction job.
Work on a new pump station and the planned 5-in-1 dam bypass is being delayed so crews can focus on getting the Eight Avenue Bridge completed on schedule.
Both the pump station and the dam would interfere with a cofferdam needed to provide a dry workspace in the river for bridge construction.
