(Des Moines, IA) -- Cities across the Des Moines metro are enacting snow ordinances ahead of this weekend's winter storm.
So far, cities enacting snow ordinances include:
- Carlisle - in effect starting Friday, November 28th at 6pm lasting 24 hours
- Indianola - in effect starting Friday, November 28th at 6pm lasting 48 hours
Snow ordinances require that vehicles be removed from city parking lots and off of city streets to make way for snow plows. Vehicles that remain on city streets and parking lots may be towed at the owner's expense, and the drivers will face a fine.
