(Iowa) -- Leadership changes are coming to the Iowa Board of Regents.
Board President Sherry Bates announced she will resign from the board effective December 4. President Pro Tem Greta Rouse will also step down from her leadership role that day but will continue serving as a regent through the end of her term in 2027.
Both leaders say they are stepping down to spend more time with family.
A special meeting is scheduled for December 3 to elect new leadership.
