UPDATE: NE 56th Street in Pleasant Hill Reopens After Car v. Train Crash

(Pleasant Hill, IA) -- No injuries are reported after a car vs. train accident Tuesday morning.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened when a vehicle proceeded onto the train tracks as a train was approaching. The driver and sole occupant of vehicle, a 33 year-old woman, refused medical treatment at the scene, and the car sustained minor damage.
