(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Community School District needs to cut their budget and is looking for the public's input on how to do so.

The District says they're coming up $10-12 million short next year due to salary increases, declining enrollment and a carryover deficit.

District leaders say they're looking for input from staff, families and taxpayers to develop a final proposal to align enrollment, facilities, staffing levels and student needs with long-term goals.
