(Johnson County, IA) -- The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is moving forward with a resolution to protect citizen's Fourth Amendment rights.

The board voted to advance the Due Process and Workplace Safety Resolution that would require warrants for ICE or other law enforcement agencies to search non-public areas of county facilities.

It comes after immigration officials arrested Jorge Gonzalez in September while he was working at the Bread Garden in Iowa City.

The board could officially vote on the resolution on December 18th.
