Former University Of Iowa Employee Pleads Guilty To Theft

(Iowa City, IA) -- A former University of Iowa employee accused of diverting nearly $1 million in university-paid jobs to his own business will serve three years of probation.

Brian Busch pleaded guilty to theft and fraudulent practice. Under a plea agreement, he avoids up to 10 years in prison on both charges but must pay more than $173,000 in restitution to the university.
