(Henry County, IL) -- The man accused of killing 11 year-old Trudy Appleby to settle a drug debt by her father almost 30 years ago wants the jail he's being held in to provide him with free prescription medication.

During a pre-trial appearance in Henry County Court Friday, a judge denied Jamieson Fisher's self-filed motion telling him the court has no power over how the jail is run.

Fisher is pleading not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder.

His next court appearance is scheduled for late February.
