(Ankeny, IA) -- Iowans are being asked to come forward if they had any business dealings with Charles Burri, a Columbia, Missouri man arrested in a cryptocurrency scam.
Burri is accused of failing to communicate with his clients after receiving their money, which was supposed to be invested into cryptocurrency. He was arrested Friday in Missouri. His firm, Burri Asset Management, LLC, is based in Columbia, Missouri.
Ankeny Police Sergeant Trevor McGraw says his department was informed Burri had traveled to Ankeny and was in the larger Des Moines metro during July of 2025.
McGraw says there have been no complaints filed about Burri with his department.
However, he is urging anyone who may have been victimized by Burri to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office, non-emergency number
(515-286-3333 ext. 5) and file a report.
