Des Moines International Airport Sets All-Time Passenger Record

(Des Moines, IA) -- More than 3.2 million passengers traveled through Des Moines International Airport in 2025, setting a new all-time record.

Airport officials report passenger traffic increased by 2.4 percent compared to the previous year. In 2025, DSM added six new routes, bringing the total to 35 nonstop destinations.

Construction is underway on a new terminal expected to open in early 2027.
