(Iowa) -- A new study finds most fatal crashes in Iowa happen on highways, not interstates.
Insurance comparison website iSelect examined crash state over the past five years and found that 19% of fatal crashes in Iowa happened on interstates. By comparison, 27% percent of deadly crashes happened on state highways, and 36% happened on U.S. highways during that same time period. 18% of fatal crashes were reported on local streets.
The study finds the most dangerous in Iowa are:
