(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines man faces up to 47 years in prison after being convicted of attempted murder.
A jury in Polk County found 38 year-old Raymond Gooch guilty of multiple charges, including attempted murder for attacking a woman with a baseball bat. Investigators say the attack happened on September 10th of last year, at a hotel on Des Moines' north side. Hotel video shows Gooch attacking Crystal Larson, a woman who was homeless at the time and moving out of the hotel at the time. Larson was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Gooch is scheduled to be sentenced on March 5th.
