(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Department of Corrections says a convict is missing after failing to report back to a work release facility.
DOC says 55 year-old Richard Shaul failed to report as required to a work release facility at Fort Des Moines earlier today. Shaul was admitted to the work release facility on July 30th of 2025 after being convicted of multiple crimes, including 2nd degree theft, 2nd degree burglary, and more. Shaul is described as a 5'11" tall, 216lb white male.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact local police.
