(Fremont, IA) -- One person is in custody after deputies found a 45-year-old man dead in the parking lot of a Casey’s General Store in Fremont.
The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the store for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found David Dyke, who had died from a gunshot wound.
Deputies later arrested 45-year-old Michael Lee around 2:45 this morning. He’s now charged with First Degree Murder in Dyke’s death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
