(Des Moines, IA) -- An Animal Rescue League of Iowa fundraiser is giving jilted lovers a chance at a bit of revenge this Valentine’s Day.

The ARL says that for $15, it will name a feral cat after an ex, spay or neuter it, and release it, the cat, not the ex. They say the broken‑hearted can submit five names for $50 or 15 names for $100.

The organization says the donations will help fund its trap‑neuter‑release and similar programs, ultimately reducing the area’s feral cat population.

More information is available on the ARL website.
