Suspect Accused Of Shooting At West Des Moines Officer Is In Custody

(West Des Moines, IA) -- A man accused of shooting at a West Des Moines police officer is now in custody. Investigators say 20‑year‑old Andrew Clark fired at an officer Monday evening after police responded to reports of a man armed with a gun.

Clark was located this afternoon around 3:40 p.m. following a multi‑day search and was taken into custody without incident.

He faces two charges: attempted murder of a peace officer and intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
