(Des Moines, IA) -- A new program offering treatment and support for opioid addiction is launching in Des Moines.
The Des Moines Fire Department, Polk County, and Full Circle Recovery are partnering on the REACH Program, which will use EMS data to identify people who have overdosed and offer them services, including medication-assisted treatment.
Over the past three years, Des Moines police and fire crews have administered 1,227 doses of Narcan.
