(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Police are searching for a man after his three-year-old child was hospitalized for a suspected fentanyl overdose.
On February 6th, the child was taken to a local hospital and given several doses of Narcan. Police say the child is now recovering.
Investigators believe the child was in the care of their father, 32-year-old Jaylin Starks, at the time of the overdose. A search of Starks’ home reportedly uncovered several packages of fentanyl along with distribution materials.
Starks is wanted on multiple charges, including child endangerment and possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
