(Des Moines, IA) -- The City of Des Moines is looking for qualified contractors to participate in the city's Improving Our Neighborhoods, or ION, program.
Contractors specializing in exterior home repairs are encouraged to apply for a new bid package. The ION program provides financial help to low and moderate income homeowners whose homes are in need of critical exterior repairs. The city is looking to expand its pool of contractors to work on projects scheduled to start this spring.
The new bid package is called Property Improvement Projects. There will be a pre-bid meeting on 1200 Locust Street in Des Moines on Wednesday, February 25th from 1pm-2pm. At the meeting, contractors will have a chance to learn more about the projects, ask questions, and get more information before they submit their bids.
