Governor Reynolds Orders Flags at Half-Staff Friday to Honor Jesse Jackson

(Iowa) -- Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to be flown at half-staff Friday to honor the late Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Flags will be flown at half-staff at all public buildings, state grounds, and facilities across Iowa. Businesses, schools, individuals, and government subdivisions are encouraged to fly their flags at half-staff on Friday as well.

Jackson, a longtime civil rights leader and activist, died February 17th at the age of 84.
