(Washington, DC) -- A soldier from West Des Moines is identified as one of the U.S. troops killed last weekend in the Middle East.

Sgt. Declan Coady, age 20 of West Des Moines, is among the six service members who died in Operation Epic Fury, according to the Pentagon.

The other soldiers killed are identified as Sgt. First Class Noah Tietjens, 42, from Bellevue, Nebraska, Captain Cody Khork, 35 of Winter Haven, Florida and Sgt. First Class Nicole Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake Minnesota.

Two others have not yet been identified. All soldiers were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command, an Army Reserve unit based in Des Moines.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth says the six died when a Kuwaiti military facility was hit in a retaliatory strike from Iran.

Several seriously wounded service members are under medical care, some with concussions and shrapnel wounds.
