(Palo, IA) -- Palo residents got the chance to air their concerns about a planned $1-billion Google data center planned for the city.
Many residents who spoke expressed concerns over a potential increase in power and water bills.
Data centers use up large amounts of both.
The data center was originally planned for rural Linn County, but Google recently announced a new location within Palo city limits after the county updated their zoning laws.
Palo city leaders say feedback from last night's meeting will help them decide their next steps on the Google proposal.
