(Davenport, IA) -- Construction season starts in the Quad Cities today with several major projects getting underway.

Davenport begins the process of preparing 4th Street for conversion from one-way to two-way traffic.

In Bettendorf, crews will start replacing water and sewer lines, and repaving along parts of Central Avenue.

In Moline, the city will begin replacing nearly 5-thousand lead water service lines to homes throughout the city.

Three million dollars from the Illinois EPA will help the city replace 400 lines this year.

Moline city leaders say it will take 10 years to replace them all.
