(Greenfield, Iowa) -- An Iowa man has been convicted of murder in a deadly stabbing that happened in Greenfield last year.
A jury found Yudiel Vega‑Blanco guilty of stabbing Carlos Garcia Escalona in the chest with a kitchen knife last April. Escalona died at the scene.
Vega‑Blanco was convicted of first‑degree murder and willful injury.
A second person in the home was also hurt but survived.
A sentencing date has not yet been set.
