(Grimes, IA) -- A road construction project in the Des Moines metro will cause an overnight road closure off of Interstate 80 between the Northeast Mixmaster and U.S. 65 multiple nights this week.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says crews will need to close the westbound I-80 to northbound I-35 ramp overnight from April 21st to the 24th. The closure will begin at 10pm each night, and the ramp will be re-opened by 5am each morning.
A detour will be posted during the closure using westbound I-80 to U.S. 69, then eastbound I-80 to northbound I-35. More information on the project is available on the Iowa Department of Transportation's website.
