Crime data released by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office show a mixed bag for the first quarter of 2026.
Compared to the first quarter of previous years, unincorporated Douglas County saw four-year lows in Assaults, Auto Theft, Burglary, Criminal Mischief, and Theft.
Reports of Sexual Assault are the lowest in three years.
On the other side, Financial Crime reports are at a four-year high, increasing by a third from last year.
The upward trend of Domestic Violence also continues, hitting a three-year high.
