Overnight Fire At Norwalk Apartment Building Forces Dozens To Evacuate

(Norwalk, IA) -- A massive fire broke out overnight at the Country View Apartments in Norwalk, collapsing part of the building’s roof and forcing dozens of residents to evacuate.

The fire started shortly after midnight at the apartment complex in the 1000 block of East 17th Street, near Norwalk High School.

No injuries have been reported.

The Norwalk Fire Department say the scene remains active, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. More information is expected later in the day.
