(Algona, IA) -- Students at multiple schools in northwestern Iowa are sheltering in place due to an unspecified community threat.
In a post on social media, Kossuth County Emergency Management says Algona Community Schools and Bishop Garrigan schools are under a shelter in place order at this time. North Union Schools and West Bend Mallard Schools are not being ordered to shelter in place but will see an increased police presence.
Law enforcement has yet to clarify the nature of the community threat.
