Addax Calf Born at Des Moines' Blank Park Zoo

(Des Moines, IA) -- Visitors to Des Moines' Blank Park Zoo can see the zoo's latest resident.

Victoria is a female addax calf born at the zoo in May. The addax is a type of antelope and is one of the world's most endangered species. Victoria is the third addax born at Blank Park Zoo in the last three years as part of a global effort to protect the species. Visitors will be able to see Victoria all summer long, along with three lions arriving at the zoo later this year.
