(New York, NY) -- A Central Iowa native is playing in the NBA finals.
Harrison Barnes is a forward for the San Antonio Spurs. Barnes led Ames High School to back-to-back 4-A state championships in 2009 and 2010 before playing for North Carolina in college.
He's played for several other NBA teams before joining the Spurs in 2024. They face the New York Knicks tonight in Game 3 of the Finals at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Knicks lead 2-and-0 in the best of a 7 game series.
