Four Charged in Violent Des Moines Robbery Assault And Robbery

(Des Moines, IA) -- Four men are facing felony charges after a violent assault and robbery in Des Moines that left a 19-year-old man seriously injured.

Police say officers responded just after 1 a.m. on July 26 and found the victim suffering from facial fractures. Investigators say the attack happened about 30 minutes earlier on Court Avenue.

According to police, 19-year-old Juelz Daye pushed the victim into the roadway. Authorities say 20-ear-old's Demar Jones and Bernard Martin, and 19-year-old Devonta Love, then joined in, punching and stomping on the victim before stealing his cellphone and other belongings.

All four suspects are being held in the Polk County Jail.
