(Original story)
(Council Bluffs, Iowa). Western Iowa sheriff's deputies arrested an escaped inmate from Nebraska early this (Thursday) afternoon.
Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker says escapee Eric Scott was spotted walking near the jail this afternoon, and deputies arrested him without incident.
Danker says when deputies arrested Scott, he said "Well, you got me."
Yesterday, Scott choked a deputy who was transporting him in Nebraska, and took the deputy's gun and car, which he later ditched in parking lot of Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha.
Scott still had the gun when they arrested him today. He's facing charges in Iowa and Nebraska.
Scott is a registered sex offender with a violent history, he'd been serving time for 5th offense DUI.
