UPDATE: The Iowa State Patrol says the person killed in yesterday's huge pile-up on I-35 near Ames, was a bus driver from Independence, Missouri.
The State Patrol says 53-year-old Dana Easter failed to slow down, when approaching an earlier wreck, involving at least two vehicles, which were stopped in the left lane.
Easter rear-ended a semi tractor trailer, causing a chain-reaction crash.
The driver of the semi, 54-year-old Marvin Burns, of Union, Iowa injured.

(AMES, Iowa) One person was killed in a 50-to-70 vehicle pileup Monday on Interstate 35 near Ames. Officials say the wreck sent others to the hospital, some with critical injuries.
Our news partner, Channel 13, WHO-TV reports Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames is treating at least a dozen injured people.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the cause of the pileup, which started early Monday afternoon when two semis crashed near the Highway 30 exit. Dozens more vehicles became involved a short time later. The interstate was closed in both directions for hours.
