Two hurt in accidental shooting at Animal Rescue League of Iowa

POLK COUNTY, Iowa-  The Polk County Sheriff's office says a 62 year old woman and a 9 year old girl were injured when a man's gun accidentally went off at the Animal Rescue League Sunday.  It happened around 3p.m. as 27-year-old Zackery Gwinn of Grimes  was trying to pull something out of his pocket in the ARL Lobby on Northeast 22nd Street when the gun went off in his pocket.  

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the single round bounced off the floor and fragmented into several pieces, hitting the woman and the girl who were treated and released from a local hospital.   The Polk County Sheriff's Office says no charges will be filed in the incident.
