UPDATE: MidAmerican Energy crews have restored thousands of power outages in south Des Moines and Warren County. MidAmerican Energy Spokesperson Tina Hoffman tells WHO Radio News the outage was related to windy conditions impacting systems work at a substation. The outage lasted about an hour.

DES MOINES, Iowa- MidAmerican Energy's reporting a power outage on Des Moines' south side, impacting more than 66-hundred homes and businesses.
Four-thousand of those are in Des Moines, two-thousand in Warren County, and more than 400 outages are in Norwalk.
