Homeowner charged in Nevada, Iowa arson case

UPDATE:

(Nevada, Iowa)  A Nevada woman's been charged in connection with a trailer home fire last month.   Nevada Police say 33-year old Erica Tinnermeier has been charged with arson and animal neglect.   She's accused of setting a fire September 21st.

Fire crews rescued several caged animals from the burning trailer home, at 515 West N. Avenue #8. 

Police say the Tinnermeier was one of the homeowners.

(Nevada, Iowa)  Nevada Police say a fire at a home yesterday (Thursday) was set on purpose.

Crews were called to a trailer fire yesterday morning at 515 W. N. Avenue Lot #8, on the Nevada's northwest side.  

They were able to put out the fire quickly.  No one was home at the time.   Firefighters were able to rescue pets.  

Investigators believe it's a case of arson.  

Evidence has been sent to the state DCI lab.

Police are asking anyone who has information that might be helpful to contact them, by calling the Nevada Public Safety Department at 515-382-4305.
