Open Door Rep Opens "The Manic Monologues" to Benefit NAMI Greater DSM

I had a great conversation with Open Door Rep Artistic Director, Josh Visnapuu, and actors, Ashley Schaeffer and Shane Donegan about "The Manic Monologues" - a brand new work, developed at Stanford University. Open Door Rep has secured the rights to the second ever performance to be featured on the stage at Franklin Jr High, November 15-17. The script takes on the stigma and taboo of mental illness, telling real stories that will challenge the audience’s assumptions on what it means to live with mental illness in today’s society. All profits from this show will be donated to NAMI Greater Des Moines. (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
