Inaugural Schedule for the Day (Bonnie's blog 1/20/17)

posted by Bonnie -

It's Inauguration Day!  Our own Simon Conway and Joe Gomez are live on-site in Washington, D.C. and are giving us their commentary all day long.  The guys told us this morning that President Donald Trump has shortened the parade from the usual 5 to 6 hours down to 1 1/2 hours.  He then intends to sign several executive orders in between the parade and the Inaugural Balls tonight.  Here is the schedule for today in Iowa time:

8:45AM - Coffee with the Obama's
10:15AM - Opening Remarks
10:30AM - Vice Presidential Oath
10:47AM - Presidential Oath
10:51AM - President Trump's Address
11:12AM - Benediction
11:18AM - Jackie Evancho performs National Anthem
11:30AM - Obama departs by helicopter
11:54AM - Signing Ceremony
12:08PM - Luncheon
1:35PM - Review of the troops
2:00PM - Parade from the Capitol to the White House
6:00PM - Inaugural Balls

Monday on Van and Bonnie, we will have learned the teams headed to the Super Bowl, we'll have news of a Tim Tebow Event coming to Des Moines and we'll be talking golf!  Yes, golf!

Have a great weekend!
