Tired of those annoying unskippable ads on YouTube? You're not alone and the company has noticed. In 2018 the company is planning on making some major changes in how they advertise, to find a happy medium between advertisers and consumers. "We’ve decided to stop supporting 30-second unskippable ads as of 2018 and focus instead on formats that work well for both users and advertisers," a Google spokesman said.
Complaints of users also include that the long videos ads not only take up users time, but their data which they are paying for. Many people also pop open a new tab and browse something else, making the ads less powerful.
We all hate ads, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with in regards for what works well for both parties. Any ideas?
