Shelby Craven of the Iowa Cubs and Mark Pierce, PA Announcer for the Iowa Cubs joined us in the studio this morning just after the 7:30 news. Tonight is the home opener for the I-Cubs. First pitch is at 6:38PM. The first 2500 people thru the gates tonight will receive a "W" t-shirt! There will also be fireworks after the game tonight. Mark says he has the best job in the world, with the best seat in the house, AND he gets paid to do it!!!
If you missed the "Peeps Challenge" with me and Jeff Angelo, check out the Van and Bonnie Facebook page! We did a Facebook live stuffing peeps in our mouths...I won with five! Jeff actually ate his Peeps and he had a sugar high the rest of the show! I spit mine out even though Jeff tried to convince me they were healthy as carrots because they were gluten-free and fat-free and only 28 calories!
Tomorrow on Van and Bonnie, Van will be back in the studio...Kathy Coady from Hope Ministries will join us as well as Ben Page from the City of Des Moines. The Mayor's Bike Ride is coming up and we'll find out all about it.
Jeriann promised sunshine and 60 by 3PM today, so I'm just planning on it!
