Did you know your phone can track how fast you are driving? New Mercy Comfort Health Center (Bonnie's blog 4/13/17)

Kara Urlis-Comer, Director of the new Mercy Comfort Health Center for Women, joined us in the studio this morning just after the 8:30 news.  This new facility offers an approach to women's health care that combines traditional medical services with holistic treatments.  They are having an Open House on Saturday, April 22nd, from 9AM-Noon at Mercy West, 1601 NW 114th Street, Suite 151 in Clive.  For more information, go to www.MercyDesMoines.org or call 515-244-7474.

Ryan Ruffing, Director of Communications at EverQuote, joined us just after the 7:30 news to give us the results of the 2017 Safe Driving Report showing cell phone use, speeding and harsh braking.  Iowa actually came in a little under the national average in dangerous driving habits which is good.  However, we still have a serious issue with using our cell phones while driving.  They have a free app available to track your driving habits called EverDrive.  It monitors your speed, the use of your phone while driving, hard braking, hard turns and risky acceleration.  It is available in your Apple Store or Google Play on your device.

Today's Van and Bonnie secret sound was a hamster snoring...check out the video on this page!

Tomorrow on Van and Bonnie, you'll have two chances to win $1,000 with the Make Your Wallet Great Again contest.  Kevin Anderson will be joining us to let you know about a huge FFA Spring Plant Sale and a special event coming up.  Jamie Haberl will join us to tell us about an Iowa Walking College.  Plus, we'll have the Friday morning news quiz!

Have a super day!

Bonnie
